Richard Fote

Richard Fote, who served as editor of Doodle Studies and Etudes, lives in Orlando, Florida. He received his formal musical training at the State University College at Fredonia, New York, and the Eastman School of Music at Rochester, New York, where he studied trombone with the late Emory Remington.

Mr. Fote's career in music goes beyond his performance ability. A former band director in the public schools, he also taught at the Crane School of Music of the State University, Potsdam, New York, and in the music department at the State University College, Fredonia, New York.

Also active as a composer and arranger, Mr. Fote has contributed over one hundred publications to music education, including trombone solos, ensemble pieces and study material.
